
Nirmaliz Colon, Coordinator, Evaluations
Nirmaliz joined Ramapo as a camp counselor in summer of 2013 and now coordinates Ramapo’s evaluation department, managing and analyzing collected data for reporting, and helps in creating new assessments as we continue to grow. Nirmaliz is a Ph.D. student in the Cognitive Sciences in Education program at Columbia University, Teachers College where she currently oversees the PTP lab at the Institute for Learning Technologies at Columbia University. Her research focuses on the intersection between cognition and digital game-based learning assessment development for children with neurodevelopmental disorders. Nirmaliz has over four years of research and assessment experience, and three years working with nonprofit organizations. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Political Science from the University of South Florida in Tampa and her Master’s in Cognitive studies at Columbia University, Teachers College.
